KITCHENS & INTERIORS THAT ARE MADE FOR MORE
At English Rose Kitchens we are passionate about retro and vintage interiors.
We provide the whole package, from initial design to the completed kitchen.
Our home space has perhaps never been quite as important as now, with many of us working from home, the space has to work that little bit harder. Your home or workplace is very personal, and so is the way we approach making it. If you would like a bespoke kitchen that is a little bit different you have so come to the right place.
Wall units come in a range of sizes and the base units can be anything from a single to however many required. The versatility of English Rose Kitchen Units enables the creation of a bespoke kitchen. The cost will of course vary, this will depend on how many English Rose units are needed, the level of restoration and if further building work is required. We can also design other surrounding spaces such as living areas, together with the sourcing of vintage larder units and other retro furniture.
The English Rose Kitchen here is part of an L shaped extension to a 1920s house combining living space with the kitchen area. There is a wonderful mix of English Rose Kitchen Units with a 1950s Larder and Smeg appliances.
These distinctive units can be sprayed to most colours on the RAL chart - you can go most colours of the rainbow, units can blend in or be a statement in their own right.

At Englishrosekitchen.co.uk we believe that every space, no matter its shape or size, has the potential to become unique, and beautiful.
We are here to help you design the space you’ve always wished you could live or work in. If you would like something a little different do get in touch with us, we would love to have a conversation with you.
The beauty of the English Rose Units is that they can be assembled together or separately to fit in with your needs and space. Units and handles can become any colour of the rainbow (well any colour on the RAL chart) and can be matched or contrasted with appliances. Vintage larder units such as 'Daisy' pictured above also make a practical addition to any kitchen.
GETTING HISTORICAL
These iconic units were originally made in the Spitfire factory in Coventry. FYI - CSA (Constant Speed Airscrews Industries Ltd) post WW2 used stockpiles of aircraft grade aluminium and their workforce to arguably create the first modular fitted kitchens in Europe.
These beautifully designed units were ahead of their time, featuring drawers that ran smoothly on rubber wheels, double-drainer sinks, corner units and even islands!
These English Rose units are a total design classic - with not a jot of MDF in sight. The frames are made of sturdy aircraft grade aluminium, providing maximum interior space and flexible installation (they just bolt together). Another lovely defining feature is the T curved front drawer panel, which allows maximum work surface depth without taking up extra floor space.
The adverts show the red and cream and mustard yellow and cream colourways.
THE BIG PICTURE
At English Rose Kitchen we think creatively about how to best use the whole space. The images below show how an L shaped room can be both spacious and intimate. The styling of this 1920s house utilises original Crittall windows and doors, reclaimed oak parquet from the 1920s together with Mid-Century G-Plan table, chairs and coffee table. A 1920s Hygena kitchen larder cupboard provides stylish storage and original reclaimed 1950s lighting compliments the overall look. The G & T's of course are contemporary!
INTERIOR DESIGN
ART DECO MEETS MID CENTURY BATHROOM
Art Deco crane wallpaper, mid-century tiling, smoke and mirrors make for a stunning downstairs shower room.
LAUNDRY ROOM
Laundry room inspiration, festooned with Lemurs on the wall - a bright ochre backdrop, deep sage green panelling and an art deco full length mirror. Hanging rails from Pipe Dreams are above a long length industrial style radiator. A practical cleaner sink is nestled between stacked appliances and the ever useful drinks fridge has found a new home. The room also houses coat hooks and a shoe rack around the corner, together with all essential basket storage and shelving.
